Dtoxin Thanks for your insight gents. My local u-pull it is absolutely stripped of jeeps usually... i'll probably have to buy new.

geiman No, $15 isn't expensive, but there is no way I'd pay $15/piece plus shipping (so over $60) for four jounce bumpers when I can get them for probably $1/piece at a local junk yard. I'll take any chance I can get to save $56+ for the next Jeep mod.

tbensor Thanks. lol $15 dollars is not expensive. I just payed $168 for the ones on my Duramax. Granted they were upgraded versions made from poly and also heavier duty.

geiman If the jounce bumper is deteriorating, you can buy new ones from somewhere like here:

Repair Parts:

But they're kind of expensive for what they are. If they really need replaced, I'd either go to a local junk yard and buy a handful for a few dollars or check here:

D A V E Y S J E E P S . C O M - Parts Specials

If you search that page for bump stop, you'll see the listing for TJ bump stops for $10 a pair.

UnlimitedLJ04 you need nothing from quadratec.

what you need is a wire brush and a rattle can of paint from your local hardware store.

See that ugly rusted up thing inside the spring? I need to replace that, its horrifying to look at. I believe that is the bumpstop? please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new at this. I have a stock set up, what do I need off of a site like quadratec to just get something a bit better looking in there without breaking the bank.
