newbie from tennessee here

Hello everyone,i'm new to the forums,found some valuable info here,hate to be a dummy but i had no idea axles had breathers,or the transfer case....Question..does the manual transmission have a breather?And what else can i do to water proof the engine?I know i need a snorkle,maybe someone can help me out.
