jgano23 i was thinkin soft top. so you put it down on a nice day.

Coyote_94YJ Ya, your right. Besides it would look a lot cooler cruising down the street with just a windshield, hardtop, and doors.

jgano23 good point. but if you do that than you have escalated from nut job to criminal. personally i would rather be a nut job.

and what good is a windshield without a jeep. Your far better off if you just grab the whole thing.

chezuki I have a '95 and I don't think the doors had ever been off when I got it. After I took the nuts off, I used a 2x4 wrapped in a towel on top of my floor jack to pop the doors off. I put a dab of white lithium grease in the hinge holes and have had no problems since.

But do you roll the window up if it starts to rain. After all it is a jeep.

jgano23 lol. you could also try to parallel park, if you dont feed the meter can you get a ticket, and if so where is the meter maid going to put it.

jpdocdave ya no nut here either, wait a minute.

i don't think anyone puts it back, unless you're in an area where doors get stolen. i have met someone that got their doors stolen. how bad would that suck, walk out to your jeep and the doors are gone. "i know i left them on, right?"
11-02-2008 08:10 PM
jgano23 i dont even put the nut back on the hinge when i put the door back on. it is just a pain. but like dave said spray some lube on it and rock it back and forth. it might take a little elbow grease the first time.
11-02-2008 07:53 PM
jpdocdave as long as you've removed the nut holding the door on, keep pullin up, rock the door open and closed while pulling. i'd say try using pb blaster, and let it soak in a little. they're killer to remove if no one has for a long time.

once you get it off, clean off the rust with any abrasive that will do it, and lube it, anti seize, wd40, anything like that and it will fall off everytime you try later.

Really simple question.

I have no manual for my 95. How do you remove the driver side door? I was pulling the door up and everything, but it wouldn't budge. should I just lift harder? Also, there is no cap on the bottom of the top hinge like there should be. Any ideas?
