yeah you have to cut out a 3"x3" hole for them to fit flush. First remove existing lights and cut the wires but leave enough to splice to Truck-Lites.

I made a template by tracing the light and cutting out the square. Then I marked it on the RIGHT side first because you don't have room for margin like the left. If you went to the left side first and went too high, the right would be screwed up because of the spare tire hinge brackets being in the way.

Then I carefully measured its exact location and then went to left side and repeated. I used a dremel to cut the square out. I also sanded down the edges of the square and sprayed primer on it to prevent rust. Then I wired it up, and tapped holes with a drill and screwed them in with metal screws. Keep in mind you will lose not only reverse lights but also the lic plate bracket and that lite too. You will have to buy a new relocation bracket for the spare and it needs a light or you'll get pulled over. I got pulled for it the next day but they let me go when I told them I was waiting for my bracket and light. I used Rok Lites for reverse lights in the plate because the ones on my bumper were getting old and rusting. Too easy. I also used wire disconnects in case I needed to use my spare.

BlackOpsJeep added Truck-Lite LEd tails, JCR Offroad relocation bracket and Rok Lites as reverse lights in lic plate! Sitting on 4" Skyjacker lift with ProComp Xtreme MT 33's, and Mickey Thompson rims!

PUR3VIL Did some updates to my jeep so i thought i'd take some pics at my small local wheeling spot. Installed the poison spyder defender xc fenders and BFH II rear bumper. Im going to order the rear corners after new years and then save for some axles.

Nice! But you left your cooler at the bottom of the hill. Lol
Haha I took it out because it wasn't strapped down inside. That area is somewhat of a playground with a bunch of hill climbs and steep descents!

I went the 8.8 route and I'm $825 all in including truss/gears/LSD/Brakes/Drive Shaft Bracket.

The 8.8 is stronger than the D44, by under 15% which is a good margin.
