I did it about 2 years ago, it was between $150 and $200. I've had no issues with either the herculiner or the spray on, on the flares. With the right prep and application it just depends on the texture and color you want.

Mad Max Jeep it does have spots like where the hood smacks the grill.but it's been on there 3-4 years now...i just psssssst and go.has'nt faded either..hmmm...maybe i will herculine then spray that on
09-15-2012 07:13 PM
kpla51 You would think the spray on would be less durable how much is hurculiner
09-15-2012 06:53 PM
kpla51 It looks good
09-15-2012 06:52 PM
Mad Max Jeep here's mine the first one is what it does to trees. i like that..a little too shiney for me but it looks good
09-15-2012 06:39 PM
VHunter The first is a close up of the hood, and the second is after the front half was done. I've since finished the rest of the jeep.

Herculiner uses bigger rubber particles than other brands I've seen. I used the spray on rustoleum on on the flares. I prefer the herculine for the body.

Mad Max Jeep how did the texture turn out on that? mines gritty like sand paper.can't really tell till you touch it
09-15-2012 06:30 PM
Mad Max Jeep about 6-8 cans roughly 2 coats
09-15-2012 06:29 PM
kpla51 What other colors do they have
09-15-2012 06:19 PM
VHunter I did mine in red herculiner. A gallon and a quart was plenty, I allied it with a paint brush. I did two coats, then a third just to touch up a few areas. You can see the results in my profile pict.

(Edit) It looks like I need to re-add my profile picture.

kpla51 Ya I see it at wallmart there's not many trails here so I go in the woods and make them and scratch my paint to s**t haha
09-15-2012 05:35 PM
Mad Max Jeep Rust-Oleum Truck bed coating areosol can found it at wal-mart in automotive i think they have at auto zone too
09-15-2012 05:32 PM
Mad Max Jeep Yeah the bedliner is like sand paper to trees. leaves marks. it will wash off. I say high pressure soap at the car wash. BC trying to use a rag will just stick to it..or at home i use a ruff bristle push broom
09-15-2012 05:31 PM
