Yep, front and rear. Though to save a little $$$, you can just get a trackbar relocation bracket for the rear track bar. Make sure it is for a 4" suspension lift height since they are available for different lift heights. Such brackets are not available for the front.

Jerry Bransford Is your track bar's length adjustable? If it is, and if your axle is not centered, it is simpler than you may imagine to set the track bar's length so the axle is centered.

Jerry Bransford If the track bar is not the right length for the suspension lift height, the axle will not be centered which will cause the antiswaybar to drift over towards the side the axle is at. Center the axle and the antiswaybar will tend to stay centered. But you don't want to lock the OE antiswaybar in place, allowing it to move to follow the axle side-to-side as the axle moves up/down is how the factory designed it.

rb1985 Im not sure how the track bar was installed, I didn't install the lift. If that is the problem, and I install a new track bar, How do I adjust the axle to the correct location? I apologize for my ignorance.

Weekend Jeeper Well if the OP just redrilled the hole, then his axle has shifted over about 3/4in. Same thing happened to me when I installed my 4in lift a month and a half ago. I replaced the track bar with a JKS adjustable one and haven't had a problem since.

The swaybar doesn't have to but when it does, the link ball joints don't have to work as hard. And as we both know, they aren't exactly a robust design.

Jerry Bransford The front antiswaybar was specifically made so it can move to follow the axle as it moves left/right as the suspension moves up/down. For example... as the axle moves downward, it moves towards the driver's side and visa-versa.

Imped It's not a problem....the sway bar works the exact same regardless of where it's at. The guy at 4wp doesn't know what he's talking about.

rb1985 As far as I know its the only component that moved. Biggest concern was the size of the bar? I'm out of town so not with the jeep. The guy at 4wheel parts acted like it was a problem because it may keep other components from working like they should.

Imped Center it and keep it constrained with tube clamps. It may be tough to find 49mm ID tube clamps.

Redsand Got a pic of it? I've saw people put hose clamps on the sides to keep it from shifting, a couple companies also make pieces to keep it from shifting

Sparkplugg Was the sway bar the only thing that moved in reference to the frame?

Front Sway Bar

My front sway bar shift to the passenger side causing it to rub the frame on the drivers side. After hammering it back into place and tightening the bushings it will be fine for a while then shifts again. Besides squeaking it doesn't drive too differently but obviously it shouldn't continue to rub against the frame. I thought this may be due to worn out bushings so I was going to replace them. The previous owner had installed a different sway bar than stock because it is much larger (aprox. 49mm in diameter). Does anyone know why he may have done this and is it an issue to have such a large sway bar? 4" lift and 33" tires so nothing out of the ordinary. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.
