mmmanimalfat If you have not made a choice yet, I have memphis m series speakers all around. 6.5 in the sound bar, 4x6 in the dash. Rockford fosgate 4 channel. they are SOOOOOOOOOOO loud and clear. I just got my jeep, so I have not had them with the top off yet. ( I only have a hard top), but I have had my doors off quite a lot and they are still clean as can be. I used to do mobile electronics for a living back in the day, so I'v always kind of been picky with my car audio setups. memphis is one of those companies that is still made in the u.s. with just great knowlage and care. back in the day, I used to be an MB Quart junkie, but since then, they have sold out and joined the "vanilla" line of speakers. do to my experience so far, as long as memphis stays the way they are, I am a changed man. Good luck!
Sorry, I have a 97 tj.

Bear7 Love my Polks. The DB series is totally water proof.

I got mine off of Amazon for $60--shipped.

I have a 2003 and I could get 6.5 in the soundbar w/ out cutting... don't know about the 2012. With your tastes in music sounds like you need to put a sub in.

I have Kenwood BT852HD Head unit and w/ out and amp I can hear my music very well with the top down in the wind.

However, I am still in the market for an amp and a sub. Always a new project.

Questions about upgrading my speakers

Hi there everybody!

I want to upgrade the audio system in my 2011 wrangler sport without the Infinity system. I have done a ton of research but can't make up my mind. Would love to hear what others have done but this is my latest and greatest thought. Putting the polk db 651s in the front Polk Audio db651s 6-1/2" 2-way shallow-mount car speakers at
And putting these kicker 10CVT654 in the rollbar
Kicker 10CVT654 CompVT shallow-mount 6.5" 4-ohm subwoofer at

Haven't made up my mind on a new head unit but definately planning on replacing that. Not sure if the kickers i picked out will fit in the rollbar but they are freestanding subs which i think are going to kick some ass. I listen to a lot of dubstep, rap, hip hop etc. . .also will probably need to get an amp i imagine. Would love to get some feedback! thanks
