Unlimited I have the jks and I love them. Easy to disconnect and very easy to put back on. I had a problem with the top bolt coming out and the sadle bracket bending. The people at JKS replaced the parts free of charge. They have great customer service. Another thing to think about is the fact that there are rubber bushings where they connect so there is no rattle when you are driving on the freeway.

Optiskate I had some old warrior disco's and I got sick of them. They were a pain in the ass to reconnect, so one day I just tossed the front swaybar in the garage and never looked back.

I cant comment on the JKS ones because I don't have any experience with them, but I've heard good things.

jtalar I just have the "plain Jane" disco's that were provided with the lift, however I did have to make a couple of stand-offs for them to latch onto when I did go Rock crawling, but that is neither here nor there

MoA i dig the jks setup, they are very simple and easy to install and also disconnect every time.. dpgoffroad sells a simple solution for getting the discos out of the way when disconnected.. heck i just used simple wire tires when i went offroading the last time and never had any problems

i do however like the look of the currie antirock.. i think i may upgrade to that setup one day =D

Triple88a I have home made discos on my aftermarket rough country discos (they disconnect in a similar way to jks). I had them before i got my lift a year ago and still not a single problem everything works very well and its very easy to disco them. Many complain that the Pin style discos wear out fast and start rattling. This is where JKS shine. They have the pin in the other direction so the main up and down load is on the strong solid part, not on the tiny 1/16" thick pin.

stevens243 I've got a set of FabTech discos that are just missing the "quick" part. Bolt's included, just no pins.

If you want them, they are yours. Heck, I'll deliver if you have beer.

I'd like to try to convince you to re-attach your sway bar. I know you CAN drive it on the freeway's with it disconnected, but the first time you have to hard turn/overbrake/swerve to avoid the SOCAL traffic, I believe you will be in dire straights.

vettefever5 you could make your own and save some $$

here's a writeup of how someone did their own. there are other/better ways that i've seen using a pin from the tractor supply store, but it's a similar idea...

I have to take corners a little bit slower, and it can get a little bit squerly(?) on the freeway but you get used to it pretty fast.

jgano23 you should not need to disconnect the rear, there aren't any advantages to it. as for the front, that is a good idea. any brand should work, there is not much too them. i dont even know the brand that i have, it came as an option on my lift kit. i would recomment just doing the front.

MOz I installed the RE - Gen II on mine. Very easy to install. A word of advice, buy extra pins. Whenever I go off roading, I always forget to disconnect and wind up popping them off on the trail.

I installed the RE Gen II's on my jeep and the JKS on my father-in-laws. The JKS units are an easy install and work great. Awsome quality too. At first i liked them better than my RE's. But I think my RE units are actually better and when disconnected get out of harms way better.

Both JKS and RE are an easy install.

No, you do not need to disco the rear. The rear sway bar is actually much weaker than the front and flex's fine connected.

Guys and Gals,

I wish for you all to share your experiences with Quick Disconnects.. I am planning on installing them in the front and I am just about sold on JKS... Just because they are the "BIG" brand doesn't necessarily make them better and that I why I am here..

How hard are they to install? Is there some kind of connection there with the Motor mounts or Skid plate (see my previous post)?

Would it be beneficial to do Disconnects in both the front and the rear.. The Wheeling I will be doing will be mostly in the Costal range of Oregon which requires articulation EVERYWHERE...
