Yep those RPMs are way too low to be running your 35" tires.

Kennisondan... for your 4.0L and 3RH 3-speed automatic, run 4.10 for 33" and 4.56 for 35" tires. Keep in mind you should only run 35" tires if your rear axle is a Dana 44 and you're prepared to upgrade your steering and brakes. Otherwise stick with 33".

Dirty Mitten Mudders Something you need to considered is that when going to 35"s or bigger you open up a can of worms. You will have to upgrade stearing, brakes, and axles.
With that said i personaly run 35''s with 4.10's and i am looking to swap to either 4.56 or 4.88. The 4.10 ratio isnt bad but a little sluggish at higher speeds. Id recommend sticking with 33"s an 4.10's just my 2 cents...

4.10 x 31 = 3100@70
4.10 x 33 = 2900@70
4.10 x 35 = 2800@70
4.56 x 33 = 3250@70
4.56 x 35 = 3050@70

choice between the 456 and 410 gear ratios for

a 97 TJ / 3speed auto trans. ...
it is a DD mostly in town a hop to the office.. sometimes an hour free way minimum 60 mph....
Offroad is mud and water on just some rare occasions.

I can choose from 31"/33"/ 35" tires..

what combo ( 456 and 33's or 35;s) (410 with 31's 33's 35's)
would you choose for the few off road mud rides and daily driver trek of ten miles each way and three times a month to 45 miles each way?

I can go any of the several ways possible above.. the 410 would be more practicable and with the larger tires would turn slowest rpm's..
the 456 would have great power with the 35's or 33's..
choices, choices.
would you help me ?
