Once the wrap was done, I vowed that it was the only mod I was going to do.
Wrong. I wanted to hear the engine better, and wanted the truck faster. By 500 miles, i had the intake and exhaust installed and was dyno testing for you guys.

The wrap has been on for 9 months now, it does hold up good. I've driven this truck through everything.
you do have to take care of it and wax it every few months to keep it looking showroom. If you do your part, It really does look great.
Im sure my black paint would look awful by now without it. And when im barrelling through sticks on overgrown trails Im glad its there.
I did go a little nuts with wrapping the whole truck. Not totally neccessary. the grill however where bugs go to die and have their carcasses cooked is an absolute neccessity. I cant scrape them off fast enough.

I ordered her on halloween 2011, during a blizzard thinking that we would get a lot of snow that winter. Turned out we got none.
I had originally wanted sahara tan, but by the time I ordered it, it wasnt an option. My girlfriend wanted black. I was petrified of swirl marks but after learning about the xpel wrap and its 10 year warranty, I was ready to pull the trigger.
We picked her up at the dealership on 1/9/12. She looked awful. It looked like the 15 year old that washes the cars for this dealer, dried her with a brillo pad. Swirl marks everywhere.
I had just waited 9 weeks for her to get there, the dealer offered to order me another one, but I didnt have a car, as I'd sold mine in November. I hadnt had a car in 7 weeks. There was no way I was going to leave the dealership without her.
I sent her to get wrapped, and the people who were going to do the installation assured me that as long as they weren't real scratches, they would polish the whole truck before wrapping and it would look like it should have from the dealer.
They did a great job polishing, she did look like she should have. Next the badges came off.... and the wrapping began.

BLACK BETTY - Wrangler Forum Jeep Of The Month September 2012
We won jeep of the month this month, so I figured I'd hop on my soap box and show the the path from stock to where we are now. I say "we" because I dont make a decision about anything on my truck without throwing it at the wall here in WF.
Thank you to all the experts in the forum who saved me thousands of dollars in mistakes I surely would have made without the help Ive gotten here.
Without further adieu, here's the show!
