I have a set, I buy and sell jeeps on the side, stopped by wally world, saw them, thought about it and put a set on an 04 x i will sell next year. They seem pretty god, about average for a goodyear at tire, i have had problems with the gsa not balancing good. but anyway for the money, 4 mounted and balanced out the door for 254.00
Sounds like a deal to me!~

Yea, those are decent tires for the price, they are LT's which have a higher load rating than the P's do. They wear about average, you will probably get about 50K out of them if rotated regular. They don't look like the factory wranglers that came on TJ's, those tires were directional and are identifiable by the difference between the outer tread pattern on the raised side vs the black side. They will also have an arrow if they are or a letting that says 'this side out'...
I picked up 4 GY AT II's at sams club for the ZJ last month in LT235 for ~$80 ea mounted and balanced with road hazard out the door. Tread pattern looks good for winter and they seemed excellent in the rain the two times I drove it [wifes ZJ].
Check the date on them though, they might be old, real old, stock.

I'm wondering how this compares to, oh, say the General or Bfg?

Did it look like this?
If so not a bad tire. It was the stock tire on YJ's as I recall. Does okay off-road for an AT tire. I want to say my 96 XJ had them in 235 size. But that was a long time ago. 55 bucks seems okay.

Good Year Wrangler tires at Wally World?
Was out with my buddy last night to Wally World (he needs a bat+) and saw they had the GoodYear Wrangler tires lt235 75R 15's for sale at $55 per tire (WOW!)!!!
This is an incredable price in this economy. Has anybody got experience with these tires? Do they work well in slush, rain, ice or/& snow? Thanx....
