True Trac is the brand name for the Eaton/Detroit mechanical limited slip differentials. Factory limited slip rears on the JKs, called Trac-lok are clutch type differentials.
I have the Trac-lok on my 08 4 door, and plan to add a True Trac to the front diff.

If you are talking about the screw-in retainers that hold in the "targa top" panels YES, you need them! Continued driving at highway speeds without the retainers will cause cracking of the top panels.... (that is straight from Jeep).
And the "anti-spin" differential is the true trac, which is like a posi...
it uses springs and clutches...

Is this the true-trac locker
I traded in my TJ for a 07 unlimited X. I got the build sheet from jeep and it says I have the 4.10 gears and a Anti-spin Differential in the rear 44. Is this the true trac locker or something else?
Also it looks like the previous owner bought the hard top seperate and it is missing the latches that are supposed to be in the speaker bar. Do you need them and if so how much do they cost and is their a kit to add a rear wiper switch do the panel?
