eldomi809 From what i hear these are not challenging trails and even stockers can run them well.. Just Remember tread lightly.. Air down and be light on the skinny pedal.

WranglerDriver24 Your heep will tear up the forrest stock. the trails are just full of rocks that makes the terrain very rough and bumpy. and we got a lot of rain so it will be wet !!

I live up in Stoneham and have a stock 2014 JK Sahara, so right now I'm just looking for something easy to get my feet wet and am unfamiliar with any of the trails since they're all farther south / west from me. That also means I don't know anywhere to meet up.

WranglerDriver24 hey I know the freetown forest main trails but seems like the best trails where the motorcycles go you cant get in their because the gates are locked. like where the ledge is but if you need some one to show you around tomorrow I could do that

wrath0r Anyone wheeling tomorrow and interested in dragging a scrub along? :X

pdfisherman Hey guys. I got my first jeep this year. I want to go off roading for the first time. It's stock, except I have 31's on it. I'd love to take a ride down and go there if anyone wants to meet up and show a first timer the ropes!

wrath0r So are you guys going? Is it awesome?
10-13-2014 07:34 AM
wrath0r I checked my calendar and realized that, unfortunately, I am on call next weekend. I'll have to bow out and lay low.

If you're willing to take a complete noob with a stocker out, I'd be down to join you guys as well. If I had any experience at all I'd have suggested this weekend.

mudcattj Ive done them all in my stock tj been through waterholes that go halfway up the doors never had a problem i do have all terrain tires which helps but my jeep never slipped once . Don't underestimate the power of your jeep ,its tuffer than u think. If i had gone any deeper i would have needed a snorkel though

JEEPmp The majority of trails are easy and a stock jeep will do fine, I mostly stick to the main ones. There are tougher ones in there though. I also have a friend who's family own over 100 acres of farm land in freetown as well and he has some good trails too.

wrath0r I'm only an hour away from Fall River. How aggressive are the trails? I've got a stock Sahara that I haven't taken off the road yet. I'd really like to at some point.

JEEPmp I live on the Fall River - Freetown line and go through the forest quite often. Would be nice to go with a couple of others in the area. Maybe you have seen me around, I am hard to miss lmao!

RICrawler Is wheeling still allowed at Freetown State Forest? Just got my first Jeep and would love to get out on some easy trails to get a feel for it, anyone who wheels there let me know if you're heading down... I'd be glad to join ya!

razdds2 I definitely want to get in on the action. Been at college in Boston for almost 4 years and have yet to explore what the jeep can do.

echristiansen91 Been out to Freetown a bunch it's great for mud in the right conditions and there are a few decent spots for a little crawling nothing crazy but we always have a good time. They've had some issues lately with people putting spikes down on some of the trails so I'd problem hold off on exploring down there until the snows gone if you've never been.
