1) your radio doesn't have the SW to stream audio thru BT. BTSA started to be supported in 2011.
2) depending on the PN of the uc module, you may be able to update it, but it won't help you stream audio.
3) when in BTSA mode, your only supported commands are "play, pause, next track and previous track". there are more controlable features using the docking cable.
4) correct, SIRI is not supported in the late v2 2011 & 2012 - 2013 uc systems. sure SIRI works on your system but try this and you'll see why the support have currently been dropped. Use SIRI to search the web for something, while she's searching, have an incoming call. you'll see that there is a call coming in butthere isn't a message from the phone to answer the call. if you press the uc button, apple drops SIRI and sends the call to your voice mail. so because of this type of an issue Chrysler decided that it's best not to support the feature. Just because an accessory feature doesn't work properly with uc doesn't mean that the "phone" isn't compatible with uc. in order to be compatible with uc, the main "phone" features need to operate correctly (pair, bond, make & rec calls, re-connect etc).

2009 JK Uconnect Audio Streaming - HELP
So I have a 2009 JK with the aftermarket Mopar Uconnect. Has bluetooth and an iphone cable for music. No USB in the Jeep at this time. If I update the software can I stream music from the iphone? Would I want to do this? Can I even update the Uconnect softare (I assume I can).
For those that do stream music, can you control the songs from the head unit or do you have to do it on the iphone? Lastly, the way I'm set up now, Siri works through the mic in the car which is nice. I heard that this feature doesn't work on the new Jeeps? True story?
ANY help is appreciated and happy Friday!
