SJMUDWRANGLER i live in williamstown and i have a '11 jku 4dr with 35's mine stick out approx 2.5" and no one says anything. Monroe twp officers have commented that they love my tire wheel combo. and the pinwheels are awesome. nothing like shooting rooster tails in the rain. come on snow

Jerseyjk07 I live in Gloucester Twp. No issues really anymore. You'll be fine. Just dot drive like a jerk and they will leave you alone. Don't sweat it.

Potts Im in Medford... Thanks for the replies. Tough decision...I can't find a 15" wheel I like matched up with some good rubber that won't stick out at least an inch. Love the circle or d-windows 15s on a jeep... At least inspection is no longer and issue.

Saranrap i had a buddy that had a slightly lifted F150 and nitto terra graplers.. They stuck out literally 1/4 of an inch.

He got Nailed in Pitman, franklinville, clayton, vineland and laurel springs. $65 ticket each time, after the last he put bushwhacker fenders on. I would say your fine unless you frequently travel in those areas. he was specifically pulled over just for that.

Where in SJ are you? im in glassboro literally on the edge of pitman so Im not going to take the chance when i get spacers/tires

Rayko I have a TJ with 33" x 12.5" x 15. My tires stick out about 2". I've been down S Jersey, up N Jersey, out to PA, through DE, to Md. Haven't had any problems.

montekeel The only time you'll ever actually hear anything should be if you are driving in the rain and you are shooting water pinwheels. Other then that you should be totally fine.

Tires sticking out past fenders

I'm down in south jersey, but I drive all over the place, spend a lot of time in Philly, trips to Pittsburgh, and have been doing a good amount of exploring out in Wharton.

I'm looking at a new tire/wheel setup for my JK that I really like. The only issue is NJ's fender laws. From what I've gathered, you can get pulled over for tires sticking out past your fenders in NJ. The setup I'm looking at would be stock suspension (for the time being) with 33's and 15" rims. It looks like the tires will stick out about 2" past the fender, maybe 3".

How strict are the cops where we live with the fender laws? Anyone have a lot of issues? I'm not trying to get pulled over on the way home from the bar after having two beers, cause my tires stick out...

Thanks for any input.
