phottomatt Penndel and the pine barrens are 2 different places. Pine barrens is legal with tons of trails (they are actually legal roads with street names). As long as you stay on the trail you are legal. Fun place but requires some extra maintenance after wheelin in the sand.

Richlw3 What's going on with Penndel pine Barron's? Is it still a safe off road spot?

Dancin Dan Pine Barrens are still legal. Come on out with us this weekend. You could end up going home with a new winch, maybe a trans cooler system or how about a $200 gift Cert to buy whatever you want?

JDeBlois Turns out Penndel is illegal and patrolled now... Workin' on findin' new places.

Dancin Dan I'm over in West Conshohocken - right around the corner from you guys.

If you're up for a weekend of camping and wheeling, we're heading over to the Pine Barrens this weekend for the charity run Ryan mentioned. Gonna be fun.

Stock definitely... Parts will be a little rough unless you disconnect but a stock Jeep ran it when we went last. Penndel is in exit 351 on 276 East.

Zed I second Rausch Creek. Nice folks out that way. Variety of trail levels.

There is a charity run in the Pines on the 27th of October. Great prizes, a tshirt, and dinner at the Pic. Great chance to see a good chunk of the Pines with some knowledgeable leaders. Check the thread in the New Jersey section.

Rausch Creek is awesome. Free camping, and great wheeling for all levels.
I can't see why it'd be illegal in Penndel. We asked around and everyone said to go have fun and we talked to the garage/junk yard next to it and they said they had no issue..
