BeatnikFink Thanks for showing me this thread Beast

I'm not from Tucson but I've lived here for most of my life. You'll usually see me out with the AZFJ crew or Sierra Vista off road but I probably won't be making any runs until I get new tires and get my death wobble sorted out

Dusthol Looks like I'll be available to do a trail.

Beastmaster Not off road stuff, but I'll be going to Nam Jam:

Beastmaster The only place that comes to mind for me is Desert Rat, they have a couple of locations in town. Maybe someone else can chime in and give you some more options.

In the mean time, I just like to say . . .

brandja Hey guys. I am looking to do a regear and new to Tucson area. Can anyone recommend a shop around here that is experienced in this? I could start calling shops, but I thought I would see if any come recommended.

I am not apposed to saving a few bucks if anyone has the experience and tools to do the job on here. I could remove the complete axles and bring them to you.

Shoot me a PM if you got any advice.

Thanks in advance!

Beastmaster I think they're great. I went with the wide ones because they are just as wide as stock. They're tough, you can even stand on them. Also, they have a lifetime warranty so if they get trashed on the trail, you pay the shipping and Ace will send a new set.

Dusthol How do u like those ace fenders. Eventually I want those.
09-28-2014 11:03 AM
Beastmaster I just changed mine for some Ace tube fenders but here's a couple of vids I've heard are pretty good.

Beastmaster Hey guys, I've been talking to some Phoenix WF members and they are thinking about having a Meet & Greet up at Florence some time soon. You may want to keep an eye on this thread:

Kiddmen57 Headed to Prescott for the Overland Journal open house and trail run on Saturday.

From their FB page:

It’s time once again for Overland International’s semi-annual Open House event scheduled to take place on August 30th at Overland Headquarters in beautiful Prescott, AZ. Kicking off the day at 9 AM, we will offer a variety of trail runs in our local mountains for drivers and vehicles of all abilities including riders on motorcycles big and small. Pack a lunch for the trail, but save room for the dinner provided by Overland International at our headquarters at 3035 North Tarra Avenue.

Even if you don’t join us for a trail run come hang out for the open house starting at 4 PM with dinner served at 6 PM. As the sun sets we’ll all enjoy a presentation of the latest leg of Expeditions 7 by team leader Scott Brady. New to the event this year, we will also be holding a gear sale from 2 PM to 6 PM with deals you won’t want to miss.

This event is always family-and-dog friendly, but we do ask that you keep an eye on both, and that dogs are friendly, leashed, and well-behaved.

Please let me know if you would like to attend any of the trail runs so I can manage group sizes. To confirm your spot, send me an email at:

There are a few local commercial campgrounds nearby for those of you that are interested in camping, or we can make basic recommendations for camping locations in the surrounding forest.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again, this is one of the highlights of our year offering a rare chance to chat with ExPo members and OJ Subscribers directly, put faces to the user-names, and generally hang out together and have a little bit of fun.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. 928-777-8567

When I said no issues at all I meant at the Meet and Greet. Considering a Sheriff parked himself right next to us for a good portion of the time you woulda thought a gang fight was about to happen.
