Lol not HIDs man. HIDs are illegal if you dont put them in the right enclosures, there are tons of regulations for HID makers so HID reflectors are a pain to find.

IMHO - I'd take it slow and research the best lights 4 your particular senerio. No sense is purchasing something that will leave your lighting needs unaided.

Rogue Oh yeah, there are several good threads on here about installing the KC slimlites on the windshield brackets. I looked them up when I put my lights on. It really helped with routing the wiring and all. Just an idea.

Rogue Not a problem man. Let me know what you go with on the headlights. My 2002 stock headlights are in desperate need of replacement. You really see how crappy the stock lights are when you throw a KC driving light on!

jdhallissey Thanks Rogue for the actual input. I think I will run them for the windshield and the fogs then HID's for the main lights (hi, Low)

Rogue I put a set of those KC Slimlites on the windshield brackets on my TJ and I love them! Be sure to buy off of Ebay for a good deal though as they are really expensive...

Thanks you up for a install day? Gurnee- beer and pizza or bevarage of your choice? haha, will have a ton of stuff to install right in the middle of winter! 4k worth of stuff!

look around here.. read through it so you dont end up getting some ripoffs.

pick what type of housing you buy (h4 most likely)
then look at their h4 kits here.. 190 bucks to 250 for the high quality stuff.
i'll be getting a kit for my bike if i have money over the summer..

jdhallissey Dude all our lights are illegal! I would only really run them in snow storms and the like. The new head lights would be truly legal. For everything else ehh they can yell at me later for it! haha

What HID kits are reasonably priced for a broke guy? The only one I found was like 1400 bucks!
11-19-2008 09:42 PM
Triple88a Man if you want worthy lights, look into a hid kit. Those 130 watters are going to be illegal on the road so you are left with your silverstar headlights only.

as far as the RRC bumper.. i love mine.

jdhallissey ohh one more thing guys and gals- My heat only comes out from the defroster vents. I looked up underneath the dash and I couldn't find the actuators for the air flow either.

Lights for the HEEP

K guys and gals, I am running lights this winter on the heep. I want to run 2 off the front bumper as fogs, then new front lights then lights on the windshield brackets. I found KC lights for a good price. Are they worth a damn? I am not looking at spending 1000 bucks on lights. To come--

lights-
Sylvania SilverStar Sealed Beam Headlights
KC HiLiTES 6" Round SlimLite Series Long Range 130W Super White Halogen in Deep Black Powder Coat Finish- 2 sets
KC windshield brackets.
Rugged ridge RRC Front grill guard.

I am also looking at doing a 4 inch lift to handle the 33'x12.50 going on too. For the lift I would really like to keep it under 1000 I know small budget but only mudd in these parts. Any Help would be great.

Then if I feel like really killing myself I have on the wish list of one item.A warn 9500ti winch.
