|zfender14||I got it, it turns out I had it facing the front, should be going towards the cab. It hooks up in the center into basically a rubber stopper (my guess). But problem solved, no more high idle and no more check engine light, runs smoother too! Thanks everyone for suggestions|

I found a line thats disconnected. Its on the intake manifold right below the throttle body, I cant find where its supposed to go. If looking from the driver side its right beloe the tb, it comes out the intake manifold and goes down, its the line on the right. here is a pic.
Anyone who can help Thank You

don't worry about any rules, there are none, well, there's a few but they're probably obvious.
anywho, your problem sounds pretty weird, did you have to remove and reinstall the oxygen sensor? could be something there. did you use a new gasket on the manifolds, could be a vacuum leak.

yj new header, now idles high
Hello I am new here so sorry if I break any unspoken rules or anything.
I installed a new header on my yj I4 and now have a problem. When I start it up it runs fine but it soon starts to sputter a bit and almost immediately jumps the idle to about 1500rpm (check engine comes on) and it stays between there and 2000rpm. Has anyone had this problem? I searched and couldn't come up with any cases like mine...
It also might be worth noting that there is sometimes a weird smell when I down shift. The only thing it burns through is coolant but I don't know if thats what I smell.
