If you don't have the sticker, give your VIN to a dealer and they can check your gears from the build.
Here's a spreadsheet on gears; it's pretty accurate. You have to be honest about your driving habits if you plan to regear...

Many of the 15's don't fit.
Pick a 16 or 17 with 4.5" of backspacing and you can run a 33" tire.
If you have 3.21 gears, you'll find it hard to spin that rubber though. It will also be hard to run with 3.73's if you have an auto.
I'd want 4.56 gears with an auto and 33's and 4.10's with a stick.

So I've got a 2007 wrangler, X. its all stock i got the 17" rim upgrade at the dealer ship and thats it. I'm very new to all this stuff and I've gotten to a point in my off road capabilities that i want to go larger.
what i'd like to do for starters is get a bigger and more agressive tire on there and also better rims. a couple questions i that i've been pondering are, Has anyone put a 15 x 10 inch rim on a new JK and if so did they run into any problems? and what did you do to over come them?
and can i fit a 33 x 12.5 inch tire under my jeep with out any dificulty, and if there are problems what are budget ways to go about making room for them? and will i have any problems with my wheels attacking my jeep on the trial? (does anyone have to run larger bump stops to prevent the wheel from rubbing on the inner fender well/frame?)
