|egillette87||definitely the body mounts. had an 81 and they were SHOT.... PO used the scrambler as a beater and looked like he jumped the damn thing once too many times over a river|

Scramblers are awesome! I wish I never would've sold mine. Look for the typical CJ woe's and really check the rear of the frame for rust.

|Cj7otr||On a vehicle that is about 30 years old I wouldn't go to the bank with the whole "garage kept" thing. It's been used at some point like a jeep, so check it over.|

|blcktj||Thanks. Im just wondering if the scrambler is worth anything. I like the looks of the regular short wheelbase jeeps. I drive a tj. Looking for a cj just thinking the scrambler could be weird|

|KILRIK||If it has been garage kept, you should be fine but check the frame. Like others will tell you, take a screw driver (or something to hit it) and give it a good pounding, if you find any soft spots, that may be a deal breaker. Post some pictures and someone will be able to further help you, I only know the basics on what to check.|

Hey guys I just found a cj-8 scrambler that has been locked away in a garage im talking to the owners about it tomorrow. Any tips or things to look for
