Darkfire So we will be visiting a few breweries on February 14th after we get into town then we will be doing "CHIVO FALLS" on sundae the 15th. Anyone from tucson want to go and or volunteer to lead?

Beastmaster Just wanted to throw this out there. Have a freind opening a new 4X4 shop in town next month. Not sure everything he will be doing but for now it's not a repair shop, just mods. He won't have much of a stock to begin with so the parts will have to be ordered and he'll do the install once they come in. In the future, you will be able to pick from his stock and have the install done at that time.

He expects to have the open house next month.

Its my favorite trail so far (see page 46 for pics, and I've only been on a few around town). I went on it without realizing it went onto STL. I was specifically asking if there is a stopping point between the end of the FS land and reddington road. I'll take my GPS with me next time I go.

unclesamsmisguidedchild So the reddington run is February 8th?

I looked at the map, and there is only a short section on STL on the East side. Are there any points of interest over there or is that just the exit?

People don't know about that trail. Its too far down the road for most folks to find.

It doesn't say that in the Arizona trail guide. I have the newest book printed.

Also look into Chimney Rock...
We are planning something that weekend as we always do since it's our anniversary weekend.
I'll keep you informed...

check out the Arizona Virtual Jeep Club web site..
they have an area where you can post runs.
Ask for someone local to lead you to one of the areas.. You will get a better response there.
I did that and we had a great turn out..
there are several areas that I think the group would like.
Chiva Falls as stated is the one we did... not hard, three feathers was a fun area. the water fall was pretty cool and so were the ponding areas..
Chimney Rock and I think Charouleau Gap is also by Tuscon.

I'm by no means an expert but gone there a few times. The first time I went there was not a hard run. I pretty much followed the trail in the Gunsight Pass thread. I took the trail going east to west and ended up near Saurita just follow the map on the next page. There are trails that go through the canyons that can be rather tough but for the easier roads stay higher.
