mr4x4 the lift you are getting should come with the transfer case lowering kit.
if not you will need one and its easy to install.
your stock control arms are fine for now and when you upgrade you can gat any control arms you want
I score a 900 on a 20 degree rti ramp with stock control arms.

A guy I know has stock control arms with a 4.5 in lift with no problems.

Well based on what you are saying now then I think you can get away with out getting any new arms right now. Just install everything and drive it around. If you get Vibes then come back and drop the TCase some.

MR.CLIFFORD Why do you want the RE3.5s?? You should get the OME 2.5s. Check out some of the kits at dpgoffroad.

There is everything you need to clear 33s.

pismo61 No, since you do not have sye. you can leave your stock arms on.Just lower your transfercase an inch or so and you should be fine.RE 3.5 is the max though with no sye.

hokie822 Well I am not getting a sye or shaft at this time. Are u saying that rear upper control arms are going to cause me problems? I dont understand...

04moneypit But without a slip yoke eliminator and cv driveshaft in the rear, adjustable rear uppers will cause you problems. You do not need to reset the pinion angle in the rear without this. If you do not understand, look at your front driveshaft, it is a cv type shaft. You may not need adjustable upper control arms at all with a 3.5 in lift. with a cv type shaft, the pinion needs to be in line with the shaft to eliminate vibrations, but without it your u joints need to run at the same angle, like your rear shaft is now.

Geeps Go with the rear uppers.

pismo61 You want upper rear adjustable control arms. That will help you set your rear pinion angle. The other control arms are less important.

Control Arm Question

I have done several searches on different forums and hoping you guys can explain this to me. I am getting a Rubicon 3.5 standard lift, shocks, and a frnt adj track bar for my 06TJ (33" tires). I was also told to get control arms. I am only able to afford one set of arms. Which set is most benificial for alignment. Will be on pavement...light trails. I have heard rear upper...also have heard front lower. I am confused. I really do not know which ones do what.
