I went and looked and it does has Teraflex shocks, so I'm guessing it's a Teraflex kit. I'm assuming it may be the 2.5 or 3.0 kit, but I can't be sure.

The shocks might just be too short for the lift. Im guessing its not a huge lift so this might not be the problem, but better shocks would make it ride better even if they were the same length. Most lift kits come with shocks though, and will have the brand either printed or on a sticker on the shocks. If you could find out what lift it is that would help us determine if it came with new shocks or not.

New in NC - Handling Advice!
New to the forum, but not new to a Jeep. My parents bought me a 1979 V8 CJ5 Renagade Levi edition in my youth from 78 - 81. The top came off in May and went back on in October. Much to my displeasure, my parents traded it for a 81 Honda Prelude for me to drive in college. I have now purchased a 08 Wrangler for me and my 13 year old son to drive when he turns 16. I purchased it used, as it had 6,700 miles and some sort of lift kit insalled. The stock tires have been replaced with Nitto Terra Grappler 285/70 R17 still mounted on the 17 stock wheels. The handling is a little rough and I would like to improve this. It appears to still have the stock shocks, so I still trying to figure out what kit was installed. I did replace the stock sterring stablizer with a Skyjacker model and that helped some. I know it will never ride like a car and don't expect it to. I really don't want to remove the lift kit already installed as both of us like the look. It just seems to have to body roll and dipping while driving.
Would replacing the shocks help the handling?
