|Sb5551||Thats kinda weird I just came inside from doing the same exact thing on my jeep. My rear brakes were out of adjustment causing them to lock up in the snow and rain.|

Well I think i found the problem as I was getting ready to adjust the rear shoes again just to double check things, I saw the right rear brake adjuster cable was off the half moon clip behind the spring so I put that in the grove & then that brake was lose, so I adjusted it & then checked the other side to it seemed to help.
I took it up & did several reverse stops to see if it adjusted more & then stopped on a couple snowy spots & it seemed to help alot & I even notice on dry pavement I now have rear brakes helping which makes it stop even better!
It just goes to show you double & tripple check your work DOH !!!
I feel better about letting the wife lose in the snow now as she can wreck on dry pavement let alone snow covered streets ha ha ha !!!

Rear brakes not engaging proper!
I have a 1999 TJ sport NO ABS for my wife & this summer I noticed the front brakes were engaging harder causing us to slide while backing the boat down a wet ramp.
Plus I had a pull to the left so I replaced all the rotors Drums & pads & all seems fine till I take it out on our first snow today.
The fronts lock up before I get any rear brakes.
I've done several brake jobs on maybe 200 to 250 cars & trucks in my life so I use a vacume power bleeder & I replaced all the rear brake springs & they all matched up fine.
My E brake has about 1.5 to 2 inchs of pull & it's engaged. So I feel there adjusted right.
I used the brake pedal plus the ebrake & it stops great no front lockup or sliding but if I just use the brake pedal alone the fronts lock up & cause the front to start sliding no mater how soft I try to engage them??
I'm going to go out & jack up the rear & see if I'm getting any rear brake from the pedal.
Is there a preportion valve I can adjust or is the master cylinder bad ??
I need to fix this or I know my wife will have a wreck at some point this winter
