WranglerJA Lets revive this thread and get more pics

Does anyone know if the hitch position sits higher than OE for bumpers with integrated hitch? Stick out further? Is towing capacity or stronger than OE hitch?

My Criteria:
Full width (to outer edge of OE fenders)
No tire carrier option (have Teraflex HD)
Integrated or factory hitch (which is better?). Need to clear 35" for bike rack. Occasional trailer tow.
Tow hooks
Painted
Optional lights

I like the RSE so far.

Likely going with Hard Rock full width in front.

thanks

JE01 Body Armor's. Like the style, simplicity, and how you can keep your hitch attached to the jeep's frame!

JK Coaster Just put on the LoD full width. We like the full width because it has more foot area for easier access for loading/unloadeing the roof rack, especially if one foot goes on top of the rear tire. Their optional rear lights are made by Pilot. I wired them to the sPod, so now we have plenty of light when needed for unloading, working or just as a campground light at night. Their trailer hitch is rated the same as the factory ratings. The tire carrier and HD Hinged Carrier are Teraflex.

ClayR What other rear bumpers w/tire carrier and hitch are tow rated besides ACE?

rics1997 I have a friend that has the Expedition One and it looked great until he got flat fender flares added. The wide wrap around is made to fit nice with the stock fender flares but it just looks weird with after market flares. I like the look of the GenRight and the fact it is light weight helps, just wondering how well a aluminum bumper will handle a rear impact or if you get it caught on a rock on the trail. How easy would it bend or dent? It is a toss up right now between the JCR and the GenRight because of the thin wrap around which looks so much better with the flat flares. Any others out there like that?

Not a real fan of the separate swing out tire carrier. Thinking of the Teraflex hinged tail gate support and a separate bumper.

GenRight aluminum rear bumper. It weighs 30 lbs with the steel shackle tabs.

I wish I had more pictures of it finished, but I just had it coated and I installed it last week. This shows how well it flows with the BW flat flares.

Dusthol Great one more thing to make my search that much harder. Thanks guys. I'm still looking for a rear bumper/ tire carrier. Not sure if I want it attached to the tailgate or not. And now I need to see how it will line up w flatties. Ugh. I'm running out of time.

I noticed you have an XHD front bumper with the Bushwacker flats. Have you considered the XHD rear bumper at all and how it would look with the Bushwackers? I also have the XHD front bumper with stubby ends and will be getting Bushwacker flares, but I hadn't considered how it would look with the matching XHD rear bumper. It seems the bumper would extend past the flares and a narrower bumper might look better.

I've searched and haven't found any pics yet with that combo.

I'm going with the Teraflex HD Carrier and Tire Mount combo. I'll keep my bumper stock for now and I'll add the $90 QT hitch package.

In the future I'll probably go with a streamlined Poison Spyder or JCR bumper.
I am leaning the same way. TF HD Carrier and tire mount, but looking hard at the Poison Spyder Brawler Lite. Just wish I could find good 2.5" leds to go in. I have read the ones they offer aren't all that.

No problem! I am still working on the final install. I did move the spare up a spot so that the receiver carrier I have will fit with the spare on. I am also still in the process of wiring the rear lights up. I'm at a stopping point until I get my sPod so I don't have to wire them up twice.

Does this bumper have the hitch receiver on it or does It have a cut out for the factory hitch

the Kolector I wonder if someone wanted to, if they could buy just the tire mount with a shortened length to pull it closer to the carrier.

I noticed that on Bob's. I guess it's ok in that you can move it up higher if you need. Which is what he's going to do because we had mud on it from this obstacle, it was on the ground. It looks like on their new bumper the carrier doesn't stick out nearly as much.

I have to agree with chim-chim and Rtone1583.The Expedition One rear bumper with tire carrier is an excellent bumper. All together it weighs about 140 lbs (and add your spare on top of that). An expensive set up, but worth it in my opinion.

On the back, bottom of the tire carrier - facing the Jeep there is a little lip on the bottom that collects water, that's where it's rusting. I think it's just a matter of poor powder coating. I think a bead of caulk there would fix it. I'm interested to see what Ace says to him.

I do like the 3rd brake light, I think I'll get that one. You happy with it so far?

coast41 I think when I get my orders and move back to the states next year. I'm going with JCR. There bumpers look tough and made in the USA.

These are some of the pics from there websight. I think I want to go with the second one.
