Any of you guys ever wheel in the quarry of of peppermint road. I've driven in there a few times to fish but always a little sketchy. Do you guys know if it's a good idea to be in there? Nobody really seems to know who owns it but there's often people in there swimming, fishing, etc

Are you tied up with CNYJeep club yet? If not check in with them to see whats legal in your area. Closest to you that I am aware of is whispering pines hideway in lyons ny which is just to the east of Rochester.
I'm from syracuse, I go to college in Buffalo, and yes I am a member of CNYJEEP but they usually wheel on private land, I don't know the owners, and as I said I'm currently in Buffalo

Jakemac nysec owns the land
10-15-2012 02:02 PM
Sway Baby Sway Ya totally different place.
10-15-2012 02:01 PM
XJ Knight Ok

But now the question to be asked. Who owns the land and do you have permision to wheel their? All land in NYS is either privately owned or state/local goverment owned. Privately owned land you need permision from the land owner to use. All state/municipal owned land is off limits to ohv use without permision of said goverment or a goverment entity.

Jakemac Drifferent place, i know that spot that your thinking of
10-15-2012 01:43 PM
XJ Knight This spot is Ilegal for offroading. It is not a open to the public ohv trail system/play area. Please don't go their without permision from land owner(s). Thanks
