mrbigjeep i've always heard good things about Warn...but the price is steep. for the TJ a bumper/carrier is $600+ so it is probably at least that for the JK if not a good bit more. maybe a little cheaper but i doubt it. you'll probably pay AT LEAST $400 for the setup from Warn and that would be VERY lucky.

Swing out tire carrier

Although I haven't yet taken delivery of my 2007 four door Wrangler Unlimited, I do have a short list of aftermarket items I want to get for it, the first of which is a new rear bumper with shackle mounts and a swing out bumper mounted tire carrier. While I do not expect to be getting tires larger than the stock sizes, I still want to take the weight load off the tailgate hinges and just improve the rear appearnace. The new Jeep catalog shows a Mopar set up, but often the EOM is not the best quality item. I know Warn makes one, but I don't know if that's any good either. What makes do you guys use? What details should I look for in a swing out tire carrier, and what's the average price range for the bumper/carrier combo? Thanks.
