TommyFTR Depends what you use your Jeep for. I personally like them, in other people's vehicles. :-)

1BLKJP Mastercrafts are going to be a full steel frame construction with generous side bolsters to hold you in the seat. As Scout said he runs Mastercrafts and I run Beard seats and will never go back to a stock one. So much more comfortable for wheelin and hell just sitting. The way they will mount on your stock slider brackets will give them plenty of lean.

Did the owner state whether they had been installed in a TJ already? If so then just un-bolt yours and bolt his in. The tear in the cover isn't a problem. All after market seats can be re-covered pretty cheaply considering that you are probably getting about 600 worth of seats for nothing.

Take a look at them. What can it hurt?

KellyK once and awhile i have my kids jump in the back. But other then that its me driving to work or to the range.
I was told that they do lean forward to allow access to the back along with lumbar support.

Scout Those are the same seats I have and they're badass. However, if you frequently have rear seat passengers you'll hate them.

flattietj if you wheel hardcore and flop all the time then you know that non reclining seats are not only better but safer.....they have no mechanics that can fail in the event of a rollover causing your harnesses to fail and you to be injured......if you dd then non reclining seats are no good..not to mention that he is trading the seats b/c he probably thinks they are uncomfortable....go try em out

trade offer. Need input

So i was looking on a for sale website and found a guy near me that wants to trade a set of mastercraft seats for my stock seats. He informed me that these seats do not lean back. I'm guessing a older model of seat.
He also said that there is a 4" tear at the seam from getting in and out.

I'm wondering if this is a trade i should consider or just pass it by.
I like the idea of the seats but am wodering if they are too old and beat to be worth it.

Thanks for the input
