activelydying So I guess I don't have a killer, just a dog who REALLY enjoys wildlife.

my puppy that my mom gave away when i went to ohio to get a front axle for my jeep caught a few birds.. it was crazy watching him jump 5 feet in the air to catch one in mid flight..

I had some tenants at my farm house loose a few that way. Dumb dolt of a girl thought since the dog didn't ''hurt'' the cows, the farmer shouldn't be mad and after the dog.

My dane tried to 'play' with the horse once, that's all it took. She doesn't know the difference between a TB and a cuttin horse, I turned the horse on her and he started to snake her, that's all it took. My boxer just wants to play with everything, dumbest thing he ever did around livestock was to try and partake in my horse's grain bucket. He got a thunk on the head. LOL!
Yes, he survived. We lived on a 20k acre ranch in southern AZ when that happened so the live stock owner never knew. When he went after the bull he ran him down and attached him self to its testicles. The bull kicked the crap out of him at a dead run for a couple of hundred yards. He never chased cattle again. I also have had to whack a few dogs for going after live stock, but this was one hell of a bird dog and we protected it.

RatherBNarizona I got a German Shepherd too
he tore apart a bird a couple years ago, I could barely tell what it was

4point I had a German Short-hair that killed and drug home a doe. I know he killed it because I saw him try to kill a 2k lb bull one time. He was almost crushed by it though.

dogsnhorses Good dog!

Mine love hunting squirrels but only one success that I know of. The dane got one of those blasted ground hogs once, snapped him right in two. Thankfully she is not interested in carrying around her kill like the boxer does. She does however, never miss a chance to roll in deer scat, gets it right behind the ears like fine perfume.

I have a few little dogs, wish to hell they'd go after the moles. I knew I should of gotten rat terriers instead of pugs! Give her a steak, a dog that goes after moles is priceless!

I believe I have a killer on my hands.

My sweet angel of a dog killed what I believe was a squirrel. She also bathed in her glory. I never knew you could see blood on a all black dog. Who knew.

Today I let her outside and after awhile she kept barking. As I looked outside, I could see that she was just barking at a tree root. Turns out the tree root housed a mole that she somewhat killed. Thank god I have snakes to finish off the process.

Just wanted to share.
