Pretty much stock here (see the sig). Mostly around town here about 15mpg. Then when it hit 15K miles I went on a road trip and got about 20mpg doing 65-70. Perhaps I had a tail wind but for the last couple tanks I've been getting 17-18+mpg around town.
Seems to hum right along fine at whatever RPM (2500-2800) and still has plenty of pull.

|Spyder1049||I just put on 315 70 17 duratracs I have a 13 jkur with 4.10s, I can barely tell the difference between the stock km 32 stockers. Just did the procal put 300 miles on it so, so far so good|

|mhilbush||I got the 4.10 on my 2013 JKU Rubicon. I did this with the expectation that I might put 35's on it. In the meantime, I don't have any problem at all with the slightly higher engine noise and lower fuel efficiency due to the higher RPMs. Of course, I'm comparing against the vehicle I replaced, which was a 2500HD Silverado. I was lucky to see 14 mpg with that, so almost anything is an improvement...|

The 3.73 is the default for auto rubicons. The upgrade would show up on the right hand column under "option equipment" on the sticker and have a price next to it. It looks like it's about a $195 option. Thus It should show up there I would think. It would say 4.10 axle ratio or something very close with axle in the name. I looked at a rubicon on the net and it didn't show anywhere what axle ratio you have it you don't choose the option on the window or spec breakdown.

|gmanjeep||My new 2013 Rubicon sticker indicates it's a 4.1 true track but the dealer said it has a 3.73 gear ratio. It's an automatic. How can I tell if it has the 4.10 or 3.73?|

If you start with a 4:10 and stock 32" tires and go to 35" tires you will end up real close to 3:73.
Saves you from feeling the need to re-gear after bigger tires.
I would much rather be on the low side of gearing (higher rpm) rather than have a jeep that won't pull itself in overdrive. If you do more town driving the lower gearing won't hurt your mpgs at all.

what is the difference in "feeling" of the vehicle for a manual transmission going from 3.21 to 3.73 to 4.10?
i have only driven a 3.21 manual sport (2012 jk) and 3.73 auto (2012 jku) and while the manual felt great (shifting between gears and the clutch) there seemed to be something off. the auto felt powerful and fine like i would expect. i typically only drive manual tranny cars (currently WRX) so maybe its just the comparison.

|panthermark||Right when ordered my Sahara, I quickly thought about a Rubi. If I would have passed on the leather interior and painted top, it would have been about the same cost. If I would have went Rubi, I would have gone 3.73's being that I have very littlle desire to mod.|

|bearman95||I just returned from a 1300 mile round trip going from Ft. Worth to South Padre Island. I have a 12 auto Rubicon with 373 gears and 35 tires and i averaged 19 mpg there and back. Had the cruise set at 69 all the way and thats what i drove when conditions allowed it. I rountinely get 17 to 18 mpg around the DFW area. After driving 20 miles up the South Padre Island beach and back in very soft sand with out airing down, the mpg had dropped to 15 in four wheel high and the power was very good. 373 gears will work just fine in a Rubicon 2012 year model or least mine does.|

|QElliott17||I will say that the mpg at 65 mph vs 70+ mph is the difference some people see. I live in the so I go up and down hills and can get 19+ mpg going 65 mph or 17ish going 70+ mph and I have 4.10s|

I would love 3.55's....
And unless you plan on modding, or live in a very hilly area, or do very litle highway driving, 4.10's coupled with the new auto is a lot of gear for a DD.
RPM's in 5th gear on stock 32.06 inch wheels at 70 mph with NAG-1 auto:
4.10 = 2497
3.73 = 2271
3.55 = 2162
3.21 = 1955
Manuals have a little longer top gear, so it isn't quite as bad on the highway.
