SouthTJ Mine did feel a little different (lighter) after install but not by much and after a day or so I forgot all about it and it was just the new normal. I never thought about it again until just now.

Jerry Bransford Stiffness is also dependent on the pressure plate. Since the OE pressure plate the factory installed was made by Luk as well, I can't imagine the stiffness changing by replacing the OE Luk clutch and pressure plate by another Luk clutch and pressure plate.

Wouldn't the stiffness be dependent on the hydraulic system, or am i missing something?

I replaced mine with the Luk as well about a month ago, very happy with it. It was less than 100 shipped too if I remember right.

SouthTJ Luk is what I just used on mine and I'm very happy with results. It's pretty inexpensive as well.

Best clutch kit

Thanks for the info,I always try to buy American which in itself can be somewhat confusing due to American companies building their product overseas.I don't want any racing or performance clutch or ceramic clutch.I want the closest to OEM as possable.I got a real good deal on a used transmission with 70,000 miles on it for 450.00 shipped with shifter from Jeeps Unlimited in Providence Rhode Island. The guy that I bought the 2000 TJ from ran it for a year with bad syncronizers on first and fifth gears. Not knowing the extent of damage he done to the transmission I replaced it and will tear down the bad transmission and repair it if it is cost feasible and keep it for a spare. My extreme 4 wheelin days are over so chances are I will not ever need the spare transmission or another clutch after I replace the original.

Jerry Bransford X2, especially on the advice to avoid Centerforce which has no benefit over the Luk.

The only thing Centerforce has that Luk does not is outrageous pricing and a huge advertising budget.

Moabrubi Luk OEM replacement clutch. No centerforce or fancy stuff on a Jeep.

Best brand clutch kit ?

I have a 2000 TJ with a 4.0 six in it and am replacing the transmission since it won't go into first or fifth gear. While I am getting that done I want to replace the clutch pack since it has 113,000 miles on it.What is the best brand use?And What is the best to avoid ? Thanks
