Triple88a hehe you know i think mr C just dropped the price of his rig to 9k

GrnTJ It depends on your area as far as prices will range but Id deff. still pass. I got a 99 with 50K on it for just over 8700 bucks. It had a lot of aftermarket stuff too (which doesnt normally do much at all for the resale value but in my case was the selling point) like long arms, lockers, 34's, and most of the goodies. Anyway, if you plan on not doing to much wheelin then that probably wont matter as much to you.

ebod2you Holly CRAP!!!!

I didnt see a link at first then checked it after I posted. OOPS!

That thing is ALL rusted. PASS on it.

I only paid 8000 for my 99 with 62,000 miles. 6 cyl with both tops. You can do WAY WAY better than that.

ebod2you Find a 6 cyl. It's worth it in the long run and they engine will last forever. Look on craigslist. Thats where I found mine. I wasn't going to do anything to my 99 when I first bought it a month ago but I went with a buddy of mine through the woods. I am weak and am now lifting and re-gearing mine. By next weekend it would have gone from bone stock to 4.5" lift (2" body and 2.5" suspen) 4.10 gears, 33x12.50x10 mud tires, steering stabilizer, etc etc....all that for under $1000 installed. I found mine about an hour away and it was worth the drive. Dont buy a rust queen. You will hate yourself in about a year or so. Also try to find a hard top already with your purchase and run a carfax. They dont tell the entire story but at least you have a small peice of it before you buy.

Good luck and check with this forum....these guys will shoot you straight.

Ol' Red I think it looks like a good deal. If there is no rust and everything works, buy it. Most TJ's I have seen go for 6000 with 100k. It depends on the area though.

Triple88a I'd pass. Look at the underframe, You'll be lucky to find a non rusted spot on there.

ScottyWantsWrangler is the 4 cyl a bad engine or does it depend what you are using it for? I will not be doing any off roading or anything like that. I'm looking for one that will last me for awhile.

jdhallissey Looks pretty good to me. I bought a 97 4 banger with 85k for 900 bucks less. It is clean, let me tell ya tho the 4 banger is a dog if you could spend the money to get a 6 then do it!
