|DevilDogDoc||Hope it keeps working for you, the brass unit tend to separate when flexed offroad and the thicker core is usually a hinderance to cooling in our jeeps, not a benefit. The first TJ's came with a 2 row and they quickly went to a 1 row to combat cooling issues.|

Update to CSF Brass Radiator Problem
Just an update to my experiences with the new CSF radiator. Originally the temps were higher (few Degrees) than the stock Mopar unit. As the weeks have passed, I had to continue to add coolant. Normally, when I do cooling system work, I burp the system and the system stabilizes after a day or two. This time it took almost 9 days to get all the air out. (System was empty for about 48 hours during installation) Now that all air is out of the system, The temps have come down to where they were before. An additional bonus, is that as the temps rise, the stock radiator allowed the temps to creep up. The CSF seems to work with higher ambient temps better, and the temps have been the same regardless of whether it is the low 50's or high 80's in stop and go, or interstate speed. I am happy with this radiator, and wanted to pass it on to everyone in Wranglerforumland.

|UnlimitedLJ04||the OEM radiator is hard to beat. it's an 1 row aluminum core, which is more efficient that what you have replaced it with. you essentially downgraded.|

New CSF HD radiator runs warmer than stock
Hi all! I have been hanging here for a while, but just joined the group and have a question about my new CSF Brass/Copper Heavy Duty radiator. The old oem radiator started to leak on the tank seam so I took the plunge and got a CSF heavy duty all metal, 3 row replacement. It cost MUCH more than oem, but for all metal, I took the plunge hoping it would also cool better since it was a 3 row and was all metal. After letting a week go by to let all the air work its way out, I found that it actually runs a bit warmer than the oem 1 row aluminum. The difference is small, but it is still consistently warmer than the old one. Anybody here have that same radiator and did you have the same result? On the temp gauge it is running about the width of 2 of the gauge needles warmer, Granted not much, but not what I expected. Experts?
