Figured, never go wheeling alone so just wanted some 3rd party assurance. Any good words on a Lock-right locker? Heard some good words about them here

Though when I read locker vs. lsd, it seems an lsd would be better for my location with driving in winter snow and all. Though I'm not too worried. If i could handle it in a mazda 3 I feel like I would be good trying to feel out full time locker.

|GoldenSahara00||I just got two MTR ks with 70% tread and in the 33 flavor for 75 bucks. I found my buddy a full set of BFG 32s on jeep wheels for 200. There are deals to be had on tires. locker is 300. It is do-able.|

|Thomas302||I did the winch first and then locker. I already had 33's. I have use my winch one time. If I had my locker in at that time I would not have needed the winch.|

I'll second ranking the winch first.
Of course, in the areas where I travel off-road, getting stuck could mean a 3-4 day walk to a main road, or a week camped next to the Jeep before someone found me.

|Irongrave||The issue with doing a locker before tires is if you plan on regearing for tire sixe XX then you'll need to pull the locker back out when you do the gears. IMO Tires first then a locker and gears together and then the winch. I still dont have a winch on my YJ and I'm putting a pair of 60s under it. Not having one has never held me back.|

33" MT's vs. Locker + ?
Basically which would be better/get me further offroad? I was finallizing my plans to run 33s, and would end up costing me around $1300, plus money back from selling my 17s within 31x10.5 AT2's. Then realized a locker or more likely LSD in the rear would be less/same price.
We play in the mud where I live so I feel like the MTs would be better for when you bog down, as the AT2s turn into slicks and its hard to judge how both rear wheels spinning would help in that situation.
Have a 2004 sport, stock D44 rear with 3.73s, I6. BB, 1.25" BL, 1"mml, and soon to be zj/3 inch lift springs up front
