I don't think I believe that. Local law can be more strict than Federal law. As long as the law is more restrictive and not less, local governments can pretty much do what they want. Constitutionally speaking, of course.

It ought to be a fashion law anyway....

hokie822 Clear marker lights are legal in all states as long as you run a amber bulb..and the lenes are DOT approved

So what do they do about cars that come with clear lenses on marker lights? Do they make the dealers change them out?

amerijeep Clear lenses aren't legal in Mississippi, for whatever reason. Probably distracting or blinding. Definetly tacky.

Mudweiser Yeah Quadratec sells them. Pretty pricey though for just some clear lenses. They look pretty good though.

kg4kpg I had some that were on my jeep when I bought it. Ebay'd them a long time ago, sorry. Maybe on a white jeep they would look okay, but not on yellow, it looked like crap.

Clear Lights

Ok I have seen these clear side marker and turn signal lenses of some TJ's and I want some now. Does anyone know where I can find em? And no ebay doesnt have any. I've got an 04 TJ..I have looked everywhere and cant seem to find them.
