|SilverSport||My logic is a 2" or 2.5" spacer lift doesn't cost much, doesn't have a negative impact on ride quality, and allows the OP to see if this amount of lift is enough.|

|SilverSport||OP - a good spacer lift will not affect the ride quality ride and are cheap in price. Consider all your options and spend your money wisely.|

|Gjersey84||Take a look at some of the AEV, teraflex or rock krawler 2.5" lifts. Once you get to lifts 3" and up you will be spending even more money on other components such as drive shafts plus the 2.5" lift are quite a bit cheaper and still provide good clearance. Like Jason said, stick with the coil lifts.|

There is a lot of good lifts out on the market and some great ones! Lifts are one of those things "you get what you pay for". I would personally not skimp on a lift because if you do, 9 times out of 10, you will be back here asking the same questions again when you redo your lift!
As for styles of lift, you have your coil lift, spacer lift, and body lift. I would personally not look at anything other than a coil lift. With the coil lift you gain performance and height. The others, you just gain height and sometimes you sacrafice ride and other things!

Opinions on Lift Kits
I am new to the Jeep world. I have been wanting one since I was 16 and finally at 27 I own a 2010 Jeep Wrangler unlimited Islander Edt. I was wondering opinions on the different lift kit types out there and the pros and cons of each. Suspension vs. Body. I want to lift 2-3 inches but not break the bank. I will be going off road but nothing like rock crawling (yet). Thanks in advance and for letting a newbie join up.
