k2epm Based on the info in my last post, maybe I will just swap out the bulb in my stock headlight to a whiter halogen to try to better match the TL LED Headlights I have.

I looked up installation and removal on Alldata but it doesn't say anything about aftermarket housings and how you get them to stay in the hole.
Just found out some info, the 80275 will work but it's not a direct plug and play.

Truck-Lite 80275 Round LED 4-1/2" Aux Drive Light Harley & Jeep JK Fog Light
• For Jeep JK these lights require wiring harness adapter - 9145 harness for 2007-2009 Jeep JK fog lights -- 2504 harness for 2010 & newer JK fog lights - These light do not fit in the OE fog light housing and must be fit into the front side of the bumper - OE bumper only!! Provides a clean, streamlined look when installed along with Truck-Lite 27270C LED Headlamp. • Pure white light output is closer to the color temperature of daylight, dramatically improving light projection distance and overall visibility with a bright, crisp output.

k2epm I installed the TL LED Headlights with antiflicker harnesses about 3 or 4 weeks ago...I like them!

Now....time to do something with the OEM Fog Lamps in the bumper, I was told the TruckLite 80275 is the replacement....anyone try them?

Anyone runnning the new generation Truck-Lite LED head-lamps, and if so, what is your real world experience with them? I have read that the scratch up easily, but they are bright as can be. I'm not to worried about the x, but is this for real?

I want new headlamps, but $600 for headlamps is steep, so I want to make sure people are happy with them before I commit. Is there another option that will give me that much light for less money and a tougher lens cover that won't scratch?

Thanks in advance...
Jacob
I am running them for about 3 weeks now.... LOVE EM!

rcsteph1 Has anybody With a YJ tried the equivalent TruckLite Square Headlights. I would assume they would be pretty similar results.

RAMM241 Found these on EBAY. Seem to be the best price.

A word of caution though. The link that you out up is only one single light. The price for both is ~$350

Which LED bulbs did you buy?

That's a showstopper IMHO. Here' in the PNW I need headlight that will melt off ice and snow.

Sounds like HID's might be a better solution.

Loafy I think I saw this confirmed on another thread, but TJs do not need the H4 To H13 Adapters in order to run the truck-lite gen 7s right? Will my '03 give them a flicker? There have been a lot of discussions throughout the forum on pigtail, harnesses etc. so just wanted to double check with you guys first.

I've been reading all the threads on truck-lites vs. HIDs for the last 4 weeks... I think I just need to pull the trigger on these LEDs!

horatioyo I got a pair of Truck-lites with the harness and a pair of Rigid Duallys from Northridge4x4 for 600$. Since I already have all the Duallys I can handle, I sold them for 180$.

Irishbaja As I've said I've run the TL LED 7" headlights now for 3yrs zero issues on a vehicle that does 130,000 miles a year in all conditions. Here's a neat YouTube video of the TL headlights and 7" flood and spotlights. I have the 7" spotlights for load lights and they are blinding.

Irishbaja In regards to Truck Lites it's a no brainer if you want brighter lights in the Jeep. I've been running Phase 5 TL LED's in my OTR trucks for 3yrs without any issues. I've got Phase 7 TL in my Harley no complaints at all and it's what I'm going to put in my Jeep when I get it back from AEV.

I would have gone for the Speaker LEDs maybe if I had known about them.
BUT...the Truck-Lites are military grade and I am very pleased with them.
Buy the Truck-Lites and you won't be disappointed!
X2. Thumbs up!
