So for the verdict. I found out that my rearend was replaced with a used rearend a week before i bought it, so it had a warranty from the installer. They checked it out and said it was fine, but the pinion seal was bad, they said that the u-joints were good, I don't really know if I believe them, but that is an easy job that i have done many times. As for all that was done under the warranty:
Front and rear pinions seals replaced
as well as transfer case shaft seals, I think, this was done a week or so ago.
All front and rear control arm bushings replaced as well as the control arms themselves in the front or rear? Memory fading fast today.
front passanger axle seal
fluids changed in front and rear diffs and t-case with inspections
and some other things i can't remember.
No comparison in sound or behavior, so i should be good to go now.

|RatPatrol||I had the same Issue 3x and every time it was the spider gears in the diff.|

Depending on what you feel your level of comfort is with your rig. You can replace the ujoint in the driveshaft yourself and see if that helps, and also drain your diff and and see if there is any metal floating around in there. Check the pinion nut to ensure it is tight. If that still doesn't satisfy the problem then you are probably going to have to take it in and have it looked at, because it will then probably be something with the TCase or the Pinion.

|4Jeepn||Could be a number of things, joints, t-case, gears etc.. pull the diff cover and see what you find. If you can't find anythng take it, or better yet tow it to a shop no fun having your driveshaft or rear blow up at high speed. Keep us posted.|

clunking from rear diff???
I have started to notice a clunking from my rear diff. I crawled under it yesterday and checked it out. The u-joints feel solid, no noticable slop. When accelerating and decelerating there is a clunk like a bad joint. I had my wife drive in back and forth and i knoticed a definate bind at the rear diff, and the shaft would turn abruptly at the same time as the clunk noise happened. the seal is leaking and gear oil has splattered around the underside of the tub. Do you think there is something seriously wrong with the guts, or just the seal and maybe u-joints should be replaced? Nathan.
