tarheel OK, I open this thread and it begins to pour outside It is 68F to boot. What happened to winter? Makes me want to put the soft top back on. Only had the hard top on 3 weeks and this weather is really making me regret that decision. Highs in the low 40's all last week and now we get this downpour Welcome to NC weather. Don't like it...wait 10 will change.

MOz I would imagine the roads get really bad without getting the oils washed off by the rain.

emills The one thing that I hate about So Cal and rain - people are idiots.

On the way to work today - passed 3 accidents and watched on car flip on it's lid and go off the side of the freeway. How hard is it to not be a moron?

As long as I don't have to deal with that - I love the rain!

MOz That reminds me of a time I was on a job in Milpitas, CA for J&J. It started to rain and everyone began huddling near the windows. I walked over and asked one of the employees there what the fuss was and the guy explained that they had not seen rain in something like 6 years there.

I told him if he really missed the rain, I would Fed-Ex a bottle of it when I got back to Jersey.

RichRock I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and watching it SNOW in Southern California. Come to Idyllwild if you want to play in the snow. There was a little yesterday, so my new Rubi got to try it for the first time. But it was nothing like today. Christmas card-like!

jpdocdave come to the midwest, you'll love it. yesterday morning there was a foot of snow on the ground from before. then it was 45 degrees, melted all the snow, turned everything to mud, and today it is 6 degrees, and everything is ice, and the windchill is below zero.

it never rains in southern california...

It's 7:30 here and I'm sitting in the dark listening to it rain outside. I love cloudy days and rain, but only when they are in short supply. My first winter here we were blessed with 6 weeks of rain and I thought the groundhog had seen something other than his shadow. Witness to a crime perhaps.

Yesterday however was sunny. Not warm mind you, but sunny. I even found my mom a Christmas cactus for the holiday at a large tropical nursery. We spent a good bit walking through citrus trees, bamboo, and cacti. Today, it's raining. And raining at a good clip. Has been all night. Hope it lasts. This is Christmas snow in my book.
