County98 Djibouti and Ethiopia, went home for awhile and now contracting in Afghanistan.

Getting tired though. This will probably be the last trip. Wifey is putting her foot down too, lol.

Duckquackers Looks great and welcome back, were you on patrol around the "horn"?

County98 Thanks! Weird my thread popped back up.

By coincidence, I just ordered my 2.5" AEV lift, correction brackets, Terflex tire carrier w/ hinge, and Tread Lightly (Quadratec) floormats.

Will all have to wait until I get back from Afghanistan to play with my new toys though...

Now I need to trick...er, talk...the wife into new wheels and tires...

MikeK46 Sweeeeeeet Jeep bud, congrats! And thank you for your service!!

Any plans for this bad boy? He's begging for a lift and new wheels/tires, those 32's sure do look small

XJtoJK That's bada$$! I'm glad people are willing to go out of their way to avoid a-hole dealers and I'm also glad to see that there are still dealers/salesmen out there that care.

That rig is super sweet, that AEV hood is a great touch.

rics1997 I have that hood too, love it. One of my favorite mods. Got mine after hail damage to stock hood so Insurance paid for most of it.

Great looking Jeep, love that color.

Mine was 1375 painted and installed but that was also-in Michigan where it was picked up rather than shipped.

Good to know. Thanks for the info, and thanks for your service to our great country.

They get their offset back by keeping your brand new hood.

In a nutshell, I didnt want to mess with the logistics and wanted it on when I went to pick her up. I paid a G for the AEV hood installed, painted and decal-ed. Never saw my orginal hood. Didnt seem to far off from doing it myself.
Was the dealer a AEV dealer or a regular Jeep dealer? I want a 2.5 lift and heat reduction hood, but I want it from my local dealer. Other wise I would have to drive five hours for my jeep (Colorado).

Thanks all! Got the Ace Sliders on and they fit perfect and seem really heavy duty.

Yes, the switches on the left of driver are sway bar disco and diff locks.

Live in Vegas, but IMHO the dealers here suck. No personal relationships at all and they couldn't care less. They figure lots of people here with money, so they aren't interested. Just my experience.

Ordered through Ken Garff Jeep in Salt Lake City, UT and a salesman named Nino. Awesome experience. I have Tread Lightly so, Affiliate pricing, but they did 2.5% under invoice, coordinated the new hood so it was ready to bolt on day they got it, etc. Nino even came and picked us up from the airport. Highly recommended if you're on the west coast.

Anyway, first new vehicle for me and I'm 40 years old. Decided to get her exactly how I wanted, so got Saddle Leather, 4.10's, remote start, Connectivity, 430Nav, Auto, and went body color top and flares (after much internal debate, live in Vegas, so color top is the way to go for heat on your skull.)

Expensive, but I went through Navy Federal Credit Union. They are pushing loans right now and I got for 1.99% for 72 months. Credit score not great after house debacle, around 720.

I was nervous of color not seeing it in person, but like everyone says, looks awesome in person. Maybe not for you, but works for me.

On to the pics!
Very cool

That would be my Jeep if it had a black hard top and black fenders and if that color had been available in 2012. I love my silver but the green with tan interior is just... awesome.

Nomadarmy After seeing the switch out of black decals with that color, I would also have to switch them to black...the black and green makes it Pop!..seems like the silver color is an add-on that doesn't belong ...IMO....sexy jeep..love, love, love that green

Hold24 I love the color choice and hood with the saddle interior. Looks great. I'm picking my jkur up this weekend. The hood is going to be my first mod after seeing yours...
