4.56's are good. some people that went with 4.56's though wish they had went with 4.88's.
4.88's would probably be better for crawling though. you don't nescessarily need to go that low. 4.56's or maybe just 4.10's might suit you fine.

|redtacoma31||cool guys im a mechanic so i will put it on a lift and check that stuff just kinda curious. He said the steering box was replaced about 30,000 miles ago. and one linkage rod it was bent due to some backing into it. the tires dont shake at all. just kinda floats a little i will check it out though. what gears do u guys recommend for when u go with a 4in lift and 33s it has the 4.0 with a 5 speed? hey thanks guys|

|MR.CLIFFORD||could be lack of caster as well. If you lift the vehicle and don't put all of the alignment back in spec it will want to wander. Could be bad ball joints, loose wheel hubs, tie rod ends, or a bad steering box. Many factors play out on a solid front axle vehicle.|

|4Jeepn||could just need an alignment or the tires might need balanced. Also there could be some some bolts that need turned a bit tighter. Trac bar control arms etc.|

2001 Floating on the road
I'm looking at buying a 2001 Sport Dakota Edition something they do here. Well anyway it has had lift for 30,000 miles it has 85,000 on it now.The dealership put it on, has newer 33 1250 goodyear wranlger mtr. i test drove it lastnight it seems like it wanted to float on the road a little the steering felt tight not real tight but it wouldnt track true staight i would have to correct it everyonce in awhile. Is this normal for a lifted jeep with mud tires? Idont know if its the tire, or the lift or because it has a short wheelbase. Let me know what u guys think.
