CoreyZ I did mine the other weekend, wish I had seen this before then. Used an airsaw and got it all done up perdy!

Now just gotta get a 3.5" lift and some 37s to fill the gaps!

jeepchix [QUOTE=Rooster454;2821839]haha yep. I think that one tool alone made mine turn out a lot better than I expected. I only cut mine down by 1/2" width wise to catch most of any spray and left the interior front curve by the grill alone. I've seen people round those out, but I didn't think it was worth the chance of screwing it up or banging up my paint more than necessary.

That stock fender flares just cut?
Also I am down for cutting! I need to cut my Grandys fenders lol too much flex I'm tired of hearing my rubber getting chewed

Yup, it was carnage.

lol just kidding, it actually went really well. I finished mine off with some fender trim and velcroed the underside of the fender to the fender support and they don't flap. But best of all I don't rub at flex anymore.

If I were you I would get a small jigsaw and use that. It's how I did it and it really makes it easier with the flat bottom and it cuts down on the vibration of the fender. Plus with the cut mark on the saw base, you can trace that tape like it's you job.

I considered the sawzall, but it bounces so much I that I elected to use the jigsaw. I would tape it 4-5 different ways and see which one you like best. Just my .02
