BLACKTOOTHGRIN I guess we don't get as much snow as you guys do.

Can you tell?

speepdaedeesi i enjoy the jeep in the snow too.

funny story...

driveways here are on an incline.

neighbor was jacking around in the snowbanks in his fwd ford escape. got a bunch of snow packed in the rear wheels, and it froze up his abs sensors.... so the rear wheels locked up.

i hear tires spinning from my living room, and walk outside to see my other neighbor who has a huge dodge ram, lifted, on 32s (2wd hahahahha).. attempting to push the ford up the driveway, but he cant get traction either.

they both look at me with puppy dog eyes, so i warm up the old 91 4cyl on stock street tires, pop it in 4lo and gently push the ford up into his driveway.

the dodge guy was just giving me this look like he was waiting for me to comment. i kept it to myself lol.

B86W05 snow is fun in the jeep. but why does it have to be so cold out?
12-21-2008 06:14 PM
muskegonjohn We got 15 inches in the last 3 days. I wish my Jeep wasn't in the shop, the rental Focus isn't cutting it.
12-21-2008 01:58 PM
MT01TJ There is nothing like plowing through 4 foot snow drifts with the jeep and not being able to see anything until the foot of snow blows off the hood. I forgot how much fun montana could be.

cork1958 Man!
That's EXACTLY what it's beenn doing here for the past 3 days. There's a couple threads around on first winters in Jeep. I think I started one too, this year, or I added to my own thread about shifting into 4wd.

I can easily see why I've always been swearing at all the 4WD's that blow passed me on the highway and stuff!!

I even went so far as act like a nut and purposely plowed through a snowback my first day driving on some REAL snow!! Had to test the ability to back itself out of a hole. Jeep walked right out it.

Still hate this crap with a passion though!!

603TJ DUMPING in New Hampshire right now. Can't wait for the morning.... just tore my MCL last weekend, so no snowboarding for a month or so... just snow-wheeling. Could be worse I guess!

jdhallissey I got no pics well because it was just me. I tried to get pics of it on snow banks but the renta cops were not having it. We ended up getting about 15 inches of snow. There is more still comin too. Another nite of wheeling I forsee! ya

Nels_Anderson Dealing with snow is the reason I own a Jeep :-) In the winter I'd never get up my driveway without 4WD and New England winters are sure to bring plenty of snow. Looks like we're getting our first real storm later today...
12-19-2008 10:21 AM
4.0l sahara Well it just started to snow here we are suspossed to get 8" to 14" of snow so i will have a little fun later
12-19-2008 09:51 AM
KellyK MOz,
Yeah i always keep in mind that i have to be able to stop. I only get those jeep balls when nobody is around and i have nothing to hit but a snow bank.
I found that downshifting is a art form but well worth knowing how to do

And we finaly got snow up here in washington... and man did we get hit in 24hrs....
And we got 6" more after i took this pic.

Here is the wifes impala after one night on the street.... LMAO...

Be really careful you don't develop Jeep balls. You know, that invinceable feeling you can conquer anything at any speed. Stopping is still a huge issue... 4WD or not.

Be careful out there.

orange05tj Still waiting for the snow to come. Supposed to get anywhere from 7"-14". That means we'll get a dusting.
