Glad he made it home. Guess he was brighter than you thought!

That's SUPER! I'm so happy it turned out this way. I'm a BIG TIME dog lover myself.

|KittyPrawn||Just as an update, he came home on his own last night. Probably not the safest (or warmest) method, but I had left the garage door and an additional door open in the house. He came running in when he was no longer scared and tired of being cold.|

I am sorry to hear, I hope he finds his way home.
I'm right off 50 by Greenbiar, I will BOLO for Colt.

Lost Dog - NOVA (Fairfax/Centreville/Chantilly area)
We have a lot of NoVa Jeep owners here, so hopefully I can get some help. My dog ran away tonight because my roommate is careless. I've been searching for him in my neighborhood, because she said she's seen him come near a few times. He's been missing for 3 hours, and I think at this point he may have found a place to hide out for the night.
Anyway, I leave near the intersection of Lee Highway and 7100 (Now 286) in Fairfax. If anyone sees a 40 lb shepard/chow mix (pictures below), please contact me. He is very scared of people, and may not come near you. His name is Colt. He does love to ride in the back of my Jeep, so currently the back door is open so hopefully he'll jump in it. He's not very bright and may be able to be coaxed into yours as well.
He was wearing a black ID color when he escaped, and he is microchipped. So, if you find him and he is hurt, please just bring him to your nearest vet and they should be able to contact me.
Thanks in advance for any help.
