or, just go with the TF 2.5" Budget Boost w/ adapters, and get some ATX Artillery wheels w/ 285/70R17s DuraTracs.
(not looking to go over $3000 with first upgrades....though i dont always listen to the wife.)

I think you could almost break this up into two scenarios. If it s a DD and you only ride trails and moderate tracks, i would go the brackets, they also have the benefit of offering a better ride utilising stock rubber bushes and placing you LCA back to near paralell with the ground. If you plan on more wheelin, i would go the LCA's as per what Daniel said.

you don't need shock adapters if youre buying new shocks.
shock adapters aren't ideal, so it's dependent on what you are looking at achieving with your jeep.
if you go with rk, they're one of the best.
if you go with tf, they are also one of the best.

Making sure I am tracking how upgrade items for a Jeep are sold on the market;
a package lift kit (such as Rock Krawler 2.5" Max Travel system) comes with everything needed, including front trackbar, rear trackbar bracket, LCAs. just need to get shocks that are recommended and spacers for stock wheels.
or piece together lifts from brands of choosing (like TeraFlex 2.5" lift, plus LCAs, Front Trackbar, Rear Trackbar bracket, shocks, and wheel spacers) and liking?
cost seem to be fairly close to the same (within $100-200). is there any disadvantages to piecing brands together to get the desired lift? something that would persuade me to get a packaged lift kit?

Well do you want just some brackets or actual, beefier, adjustable control arms with the ability to dial in your suspension correctly?? IMO Adjustable LCA's are 10x greater than any bracket would be. Plus with the bracket, they hang down and if you wheel, they are one more piece to get hung up on an obstacle.
As for rear TB, you don't need a TB for the rear instead a TB tower or drop bracket. If you have the budget to get it, it isn't a bad idea if you go bigger coils down the road.

is there a consencious as to drop brackets vs. LCAs?
was feeling that i would definately need the front track bar, but didnt realize the rear track bar was needed as well. thanks for the heads up. (anything special to be looking at in track bars?)
i need to read up more on bumb-stops. not sure the advantages/performance upgrade to having them on this planned build.

I would also look at caster correction, whether it be drop brackets or LCA's, front track bar, rear track bar bracket, bump-stops, and brake line brackets, depending on the length of your shocks. You mar not need all of this, but yourJK will drive so much better with them.

2.5" lift upgrade ?
Looking for some feedback on some upgrades I am thinking of going on my 2012 JKU "Freedom Edition".
1) TeraFlex 2.5" JK Lift Kit w/Adapters - (No Shocks)
2) Fox Racing 2.0 Emulsion Shocks
3) SpiderTrax 1.5" Spacers - (Keeping my stock wheels for a bit: 255/75R17 w/17x7.5)
Does these sound like a solid start for upgrades??
4) Do I need a Trackbar? and if yes, any recommendations on one?
Appreciate ANY advice.
