Jason366433 Well I leave it on for a little while cause it is awesome. Especially when I was stationed in Germany, I use to love to see the gate guards faces when I would ride through there, they would try to scan my ID as far away from the jeep as they could lol

Weird, maybe it's because I'm on mobile, but I didn't see my name listed... Guess I'll vote for you. Happy Vets Day

X2

I washed mine the same or next day when I was in Lejeune. Just don't use an E-Tool to knock the mud off your fenders

Dusty Rhodes Missouri/Oklahoma red clay mud dries so hard you need a hammer & chisel to get it off. So I wash it off as soon as I can.

Xavierss I have to wash it, at least the coilovers became they don't like the mud
11-08-2012 09:43 PM
wranglermatt4527 I wash it as soon as I get close to home... Theres no way to get to my house with out passing the carwash with the high pressure nozzles. It pisses the manager there off but Ive told him 10-15 times, mud will wash away over time. I do like the sprinkler idea... I may steal that next wash.

Some Farkin Guy I always at least clean the undercarriage after a few days. When I do wash the body I spray off the majority and then take it through an auto car wash. The soft top has no issues with the water spraying but I always wait until those huge dryers shut off before pulling out.

Great idea with the sprinkler!

That's how I am right now. Had Jamboree last weekend, but it's been too cold and I've been too busy to get out there and wash it. Supposed to be 75 on Saturday, 77 on Sunday, so it'll get cleaned up with the pressure washer first, then washed this weekend.

And it is needing a coat of wax or two.

Gunner Wash and wax. I want this thing to last and look good doing it.

JeepandMud I take mine in to the self serve usually the next day if I don't have anything to do. Otherwise it's usually picture time right after the mud trail, then off to the car wash. My fiance tries to get me to wash it more frequently, but since it's going to be parked till next June, I can from time to time get him to take it over so I can wash it . Don't like going more than 2 days without washing it especially if it's really muddy. Harder to clean and more quarters

97wrangler-242 I like to wear mine for a few days but it does eventually get washed

DeJeeps Try to get mine off within 48 hours. Too much moisture here in Washington. Great idea about the sprinkler used on the undercarriage!

MME usually takes me about a week to get around to wash the mud off.

JReed615 I leave the mud on the jeep for at least 24 hours but no more than 48 hours. I always make sure I thoroughly wash it (especially the undercarriage), since mud is abrasive to metal
11-07-2012 10:43 PM
monkeee2002 Leaving mud in the undercarriage is a great way to trap moisture, and promote rust.
I always clean everything off within 24 hours.
11-07-2012 08:29 PM
doclouie I always wash it, but it might take me a month or so to get around to doing it.
11-07-2012 08:25 PM
jeepsrgreat I wash as soon as possible. The mud washes off easier when it's still wet.The mud causes premature wear on everything. While washing is the best time to notice any damage from the day.
11-07-2012 08:24 PM
BLK00TJ I wash as soon as I can after wheeling.
11-07-2012 08:21 PM
Patrick H Wash it, clean it, make it look like you care about it.

JDsDream Mud on the body is okay (to each his own) but dried mud on the suspension, wheels and brakes is definitely not. If I don't feel like washing it immediately after playing in the goo, I park it over the lawn sprinkler to get the mud off the important parts.

CarolinaBound I usually get back from wheeling late in the summer at least. Give it one day, two at most. Depends how lazy/busy I am.
