|sjones26573||Nice choice. I'm building an 8.8 at the moment as well, also a Waggy 44, with chromo shafts and 3-linked front suspension, with both axles trussed turning Hutchinson beadlocks with 37" MTZ's. That's the plan anyway.|

|beaureed445||I just found an 8.8 for sale here for $175. Owner has already cut off all stock brackets, ready to weld on new ones. Came out of an '00 Explorer. I'm seriously thinking about making the swap.|

|jcol||Yea I got 373 in the front too. I'm not totally stock I've got a rough country 2.5 in lift but as far as car projects go this is by far the most in depth one I have ever taken on. I cut everything off and grinded it up pretty good today Dropped out the d35 yesterday. I'm waiting for some more cash to come in before I can score the brackets and brakes. I'm in college so money is extremely tight.|

Crazy my buddy just had his spider gears explode in his d35 and bought a 8.8 with the exact same set up for 100. Brackets, brakes, and install is putting him some where in the range of 800.
Thought he was going to be the only stock tj with an 8.8 in the rear.
do you already have 3.73 in the front?

Oh...i didn't see that...that's gonna be a nice upgrade.
I've got d44 with limited slip but with drums.I'm not sure if i want to do a disk conversion or go with what you just got. Sounds like your 200 dollar 8.8 would be cheaper...keep track of how much it cost till you done.

|jcol||It's going on my 98 TJ my d35 blew up so I went out and scored this 8.8. My plans are leaving the internals the same. On a tight budget. Basically just throw the brackets on get some breaks and bolt it up|

I scored an 8.8 at the junkyard for 200 with a 3.73 limited slip. Here's the work so far.
