Bwahahahahaha exactly!!! My wife and I went with Boston Acoustics. I do love Klipsch though, they have good speakers.

You know, I honestly don't know about the e-brake. I will have to take a look. Thanks for the heads up!!

I love the Defenders! They are not cheap, but they are a nice product. The only thing I wish was an option was a one-piece design, with the inner and outer fenders being one piece. That would just simplify things and clean up some of the bolts.

I was hoping to get out on a trail this weekend, but we were busy buying my wife a new car and working on my buddy's 2015 F-250 (he wants it set up just like mine, with the addition of some other goodies).

my wife's 'new' ride....

TXST8tj Hold on to your hats! I got a box!

....now let's see how difficult this will be to adapt to my 2.5L (not likely hard with a reducer at the throttle body)

Cavasar I've decided to do the Windstar intake, ordering parts as we speak.

TXST8tj awesome to hear about the seats! I love mine.

I caved and ordered the Spectre cowl intake. I am just trying to reduce my fab time with certain things and just deal with straight bolt-on. Kind of selling out I guess, but mostly being realistic.

Between wanting more space with the hi-lines, the hood louver, and just not wanting a completely open element filter, I knew a cowl intake was the best route.

Cavasar I just picked up some Rokmen Hi Lines so I'll be watching to see how you do your intake Pattrick. The seats are great btw!
09-20-2014 01:17 PM
TXST8tj haha. yeah. I have most of the pieces to put a system together, just tired of stuff not being done. I'm going to return all of that stuff to offset the cost of the ready-to-go intake.

09-18-2014 11:17 PM
TXST8tj Thanks! It really has come through some big changes....and many more to come soon.
As a matter of fact, I am about to make a big update to my intake setup. It's time I move on from the temporary setup and wrap that part of the project up. Pics to come.

Sewell is here in Houston and Dallas from what I have seen. They went out of their way to find us what we were looking for. They shipped this one down from Dallas for us.

mrcarcrazy Your Jeep has come such a long way in the past 4 years.

I thoroughly enjoyed your thread.

I didn't know there were Sewell dealerships in central/East Texas as well.

TXST8tj Happy to share! It's part of the fun.

I love the Baja RS seats. They are extremely comfortable and really 'hug' you while driving. The black cloth fabric has faded to a purple look for some reason, but Corbeau is sending me new covers.

At some point, I would love to do a 5.3L Vortec swap, but for now I just want to see how far I can get with what I have.
My next big move is likely a built d44 front to kinda tie up that loose end in the strength department.
With a V8, 1-tons should come into play as well as much larger tires. At which point a major suspension overhaul would also need to happen.
Making the 4cyl work really sounds good when you are being honest about it.
08-05-2014 07:29 PM
Dieselholic Man this has been one of the most drastic jeep changes I have read in a while. Thanks for sharing. How are you likeing the baja rs's? I have the moabs but a friend wants them and I want a suspension seat. Also any plans to do anything with the 4cly?
08-05-2014 09:12 AM
TXST8tj Parents went to Moab again. Keeping the kids stylin'!

TXST8tj This is true. More concerned about having the back end beefed up.

It's no worry, I have plenty of other things still to do/install.
07-29-2014 01:49 PM
erickpl I can imagine with moving things will be in disarray for a while. But the back half is solid for your precious back seat cargo.

I still have not installed the front portion of the new cage (still in a box in the garage), but will hopefully get to it before too long. My buddy that is going to weld it up recently moved into their new house, so he has a few other things on his plate besides welding my cage.
