DaK I don't think so, he is supposed to bring me a CD at some point. PM me your email and when I get them, will send them to you.

DaK Went clockwise. Think that is up scenic, down doran. More waterfalls to climb on this route. Though going down some of them would have been exciting. Hmmmm? Might have to run it the other way next time.

ChuckMRN thanks DaK for the invite, great time for sure. Just a few Pic's

JoeBot13 Which way did you guys go ... up Doran or up Odessa?
11-25-2012 09:04 PM
DaK yeah, no casualties, we all had a great time. That trail has gotten really rough but still worth the drive. My passenger screamed twice like a little girl.
11-25-2012 08:04 PM
JoeBot13 You make it out to Calico today?
11-24-2012 08:21 PM
DaK Bummer...

castman2 Hey y'all, i need to pull out of the run tomorrow. I hit a deer on the way home last night. I'm fine, not sure about the deer it ran off. My windshield and hood are a different story. Fun times for me.
11-24-2012 09:57 AM
DaK Correct. Let me know when ya want to come up and if I am free I will join ya. Hopefully by then someone has taken down on the rock piling.
11-24-2012 08:18 AM
JoeBot13 it is open the second half of the month until then right? Maybe I'll make it out there before it closes for the season

JoeBot13 I live only about 30 minutes from Calico. It's actually the closest place to wheel for me. I'm just out of commission for a bit given my tire situation.

Here are some GPS tracks if you want to check them out while you're out there ...

Odessa/Phillips cut:

DaK Wish you were gonna be there, could give us the tour. We will be going back next month, great place to wheel during the winter.

Always up for an extra while out there. One of the guys is in a stock rubi so, have to be able to get them through.
Have you done Phillips Loop? It's short and easy but still fun ... would be a good "warm up" for Doran or a way to waste an hour ... the hardest obstacle on Phillips is like the first boulder field on Odessa Canyon ... the rest is too easy just some old pavement like Odessa ... Run it clockwise and stop off at Kramer's Arch ... I went through in a stock Sahara no problem ... so a stock Rubi can make it easy ... I just scraped my belly in one spot but I didn't have a spotter

If you do Phillips ... take the cut that goes from Odessa to Phillips ... it's wicked fun ... like a roller coaster

DaK Dude that just sucks.... I am staying way away from any retail center this weekend, waiting for cyber Monday. WHOOT WHOOT... and sticking it to Moonbeam and his CALI TAX.

So it appears that it will be all hands on deck at the dealership this weekend. The lifers aren't cutting us any slack. They're saying its going to be busy, when historically it isn't. Black Friday means nothing in auto sales. People are out buying 50% off TV's and such. And you'll never find 50% off on a new Wrangler. So what's the point. GRRR!!!! Sorry Fellas, but unless you want to come buy a new Jeep from me Friday, or Saturday so I can justify telling my boss to get bent, it looks like I'll be working Sunday.
